Description

East Texas Baptist University seeks an adjunct instructor to teach general education-level composition courses during the fall and spring semesters of the 2019-20 academic year.

Requirements

Applicants ideally will hold a master’s degree and have completed a minimum eighteen credit hours in English. Teaching experience at the undergraduate level is also desired. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a record of professional involvement and a desire to teach in a Christian liberal arts institution. Candidates must have a strong commitment to academic rigor and teaching, the ability to communicate well with students and colleagues, an appreciation for Christian higher education, and must demonstrate a personal Christian faith. ETBU adjunct faculty members are expected to attend an orientation meeting at the beginning of the academic year, teach assigned courses, maintain class records through Canvas software, and be available to students before or after class session during appropriate office hours.
